The Journey to an 8-Figure Empire

Today, Nineveh Madsen is a killer eight-figure entrepreneur based out of Scottsdale, Arizona. The story of how she got there is nothing short of inspiring.

Nineveh's parents are originally from Iraq and they made the decision to move to Sweden to escape Saddam Hussein's dictatorship. Nineveh was born in Sweden and her family then moved to the United States.

Both of her parents were engineers and Nineveh's father broke into entrepreneurship when she was a senior in high school. For three months, she worked at one of her dad's companies and found herself bored. She realized she wasn't meant to sit in a cubicle from nine to five so she explored other options.

Nineveh then worked at a gift shop and went to trade school to become an esthetician and makeup artist. While she was able to achieve the financial independence she was looking for, she realized there was a limit to what she was doing and decided to attend community college.

After taking the Myers-Briggs personality test, Nineveh discovered more of her strengths and decided to become a broadcaster. She spent 10 years in the industry and found herself bored once again. She still wasn't earning six figures and craved a different path.

Nineveh took a step back to work for her father again and handled marketing and social media for one of his companies. What started out as contract work turned into another 10-year career.

By the time she left, Nineveh was the VP of Marketing and Customer Success. She built out six departments and helped scale the company to over $30 million in revenue.

Nineveh married former NFL player and entrepreneur John Madsen, started a family, and decided to take another step back. She started poking around her husband's fitness business and saw opportunities to reposition the brand and make it more profitable.

As the co-owner of Supra Human, Nineveh's spent the last three years working to scale the business to eight figures. This year, they're expected to do over $20 million in revenue!

Nineveh Madsen

Nineveh shared a lot of valuable wisdom and knowledge on a recent live call. Let's look at four key takeaways for entrepreneurs:

Be Uniquely You

When asked about the number one way to stand out, Nineveh says the key is being yourself. Instead of copying what everyone else is doing, you need to discover what makes your brand unique in the marketplace.

When crafting your offer, you need to figure out who your dream client is and come up with a premium service to help them out of their suffering. It’s important to remember you can’t help everyone, by lowering your prices or servicing those who aren’t your ideal client is actually hurting your business. Yes, is it okay if you are just starting out to get 1-2 client testimonials and wins under the belt? Yes. But you also need to remember that the time you spend with people who don’t truly value your work or can afford it, you could be spending that time with people who can.

Faith In Action

Faith has had a huge influence on Nineveh's life. She says God places desires on her heart and she then makes them a reality. When she feels herself falling into a scarcity mindset, she leans on God for faith and trust.

For Nineveh, it's not just about prayer. It's also about taking action. By connecting the spiritual realm with the physical, she becomes unstuck. Whenever she hits a snag and tries to do too much on her own, she turns back to faith and finds the next level waiting for her.

Meaningful Mentorships

When it comes to mentorship, Nineveh encourages entrepreneurs to explore opportunities and to remember they can change their mind at any time. If a mentorship isn't serving you or wasn't what you thought it would be, you don't have to be married to any one decision.

Just as important as it is to not marry one decision, it’s also important to never marry one mentor. A sole Mentor is rarely a one fit solution for everything you have going on in your life. We all have strengths in life and just because someone is great at real estate doesn’t mean that they are great at balancing relationships with family or is the person you want to learn how to run ads from. Have mentors and role models for every aspect of your life, don’t just rely on one person for everything.

Always remember this - Just because someone is successful doesn’t mean that what worked for them is necessarily what’s going to work for you. If you have been trying to model someone’s way of doing things for a while and it hasn’t been working, don’t be afraid to change direction and try something else.

Starting From Scratch

For entrepreneurs starting a business like Nineveh's from the ground up, she says one of the first steps you should take is to build your presence online. This will allow you to generate leads for free, land calls and get potential clients.

Once you are able to get a couple customers this way it will build your confidence and momentum. One of the hardest parts of business is proving your offer is something that the marketplace actually wants. After you have proven your offer you can continue to double down on the content / your presence online that got you those initial customers and even start to run ads to scale your offer.
